As someone who grew up with a communication disorder ( a moderate stutter ) I have great empathy for the clients of Opportunity Village, most of whom are in some way trapped or hindered by broken bodies or brains. I realize that full human beings reside within and behind the broken facade. And the dignity and respect that Opportunity Village shows toward these individuals moves me deeply. The fact that it is nearly self-sufficient and incredibly efficient with the mostly private funds it raises is just a cherry on top of a Rocky Road Mocha Fudge Vanilla Maple Walnut ice cream milkshake.
We had THE BEST TIME with Lucy and Ryan, who stopped off in Vegas on their trip around the world in order to get married. I can’t remember having so much fun on a photoshoot. These guys were up for anything, super hard working, always smiling, and just devoted to having a great time.
I’m a nobody, so I hope nobody minds that I completely lifted this outstanding essay by Anne Almasy from the Huffington Post (with full attribution). It’s such an important point that I really want every bride-to-be to read it.
It’s directed to brides, who are so strongly influenced by all of the THINGS we see on Pinterest and Bridal Blogs and Bridal Magazines. Those are all very important.
But there is something MUCH MORE IMPORTANT about your wedding, and what your photographer captures. She says it so beautifully. I hope that all of my brides can summon the wisdom to see this long view through the clamor of Wedding Things.
We love Wedding Wire, because it gives future clients real testimonials from real brides and grooms we’ve already worked with. While many folks are just too busy to leave a review, we just received our 25th Wedding Wire Review – yet another perfect 5.0. Thanks to all of the people we’ve had the honor to work with in the past, and we’re looking forward to working with you!
