Just a quick tease from a recent Las Vegas Elopement session in funky fun downtown Las Vegas, aka Old Vegas or Fremont Street. These guys came all the way from down under Australia (Brits who now live in Oz) to tie the knot in Vegas.
We completely get elopements. While they’ve got loads of friends and family back in both Australia and England, like so many of the 300 people who get married in Vegas every day ( 0_o ) I think they wanted the hassle-free simplicity of a Vegas elopement for now.
And did I mention that they wanted to have FUN? Seems all the Brits who come to Vegas just wanna have a good time! We love Brits & Aussies. We wish these guys all the happiness in their new life together! Keep checking back here for photo updates! Cupid happened to be parked in our same parking garage. Cupid can smell young love. And fear. Beware!

This artist’s piece (being shown on stage behind her) kicked off the auction, which ended up raising one million dollars for scholarships. Did you know that more than 300 developmentally & physically disabled people are waiting to get into Opportunity Village’s programs for want of funds? This fundraiser took a good bit out of that problem.Linda Smith – Chief Development Officer, Foundation Associate Director, and champion of the developmentally disabled. Las Vegas author Jack Sheehan
Professional Auctioneer got things humming.
“The Living Vine” stalked the crowd.
The space and all at The Venetian was donated by The Sands Corporation. Thank you Sheldon Adelson! Some of the OVIPs who work in the food industry courtesy of their training and support from OV. This group of young executives and entrepreneurs recently formed to support OV. This is their first group photo!Illusionist Seth Grabel and his lovely wife Tammy Shaw Grabel (publisher of Las Vegas Woman Magazine) were there. Seth knows how to make an entrance! This guy in the middle has just been hired by Trader Joe’s from OV’s jobs placement program. The guy on the left is Las Vegas author Jack Sheehan. He was kind enough to MC the event. This generous couple paid a handsome sum for this beautiful piece – the first of the night to be auctioned.
Nikita contacted us while he was still in Moscow. We used Facebook chat to work out the details.
He drove a very hard bargain! but I expected no less from a Volkswagen dealer. Apparently car salesman are just as tough in Russia as they are in the USA.
We met in the early afternoon at their chapel, took two photos before the chapel photographer chased us away. We then spent 2-3 hours having fun on The Strip. We went to Bellagio and made some beautiful photos in their greenery before security chased us away. We then went down to the public fountain area on Las Vegas Blvd and made some beautiful photos as the fountains shot upward. We then walked across the street to Paris where we made some more beautiful photos with the Arc de Triomphe (Vegas Style!) and Eiffel Tower behind us.
Finally we ended our Las Vegas Strip photo tour at The Venetian.
We’ve always expected a Russian invasion, but I never figured they’d be so good looking and so nice! Thank you for gracing our fine city Nikita and Rita and Ivan and Anastasia and the rest, and congratulations on getting married!
