Family Reunion in Sunny Las Vegas – the Jones Family at The Westin at Lake Las Vegas

April 3, 2017 | By | No Comments

Even though I really don’t advertise family reunion photography on my website at all (other than the occasional blog post) I get regular requests for it. I was so very happy to meet the casual and good looking Jones family out at Lake Las Vegas this morning for a quick studio-lit formal / casual family portrait session. I hope these photos fill up their walls and computer desktops for the rest of time, and gives them warm feelings every time they see ’em.

April 1, 2017 | By | No Comments

“I thought Steven was so professional and welcoming with everyone. He set the tone for people to feel comfortable getting their photo taken and made them laugh and enjoy the experience. The instantaneous social sharing was perfect for starting a conversation with people. I think the whole thing was a big hit and everyone is raving about the photos. They look SO good! I can’t wait to use my new headshot.” – Courtney Bryan, Sales Manager at Travelzoo

We help companies of all sizes increase the dwell time and traffic to their trade show booths by 25% or more by creating gorgeous professional headshots with instant social sharing right at their booth. The raves are in, and the marketing and sales people who choose expo headshots from STEVEN JOSEPH PHOTOGRAPHY are so glad they did.

Even though our headshots look “touched up and professionally edited in their raw form” many of our portable tradeshow headshot clients purchase professional headshot retouching for that little extra oomph. Our goal for professional retouching is always to preserve the basic shape and reality of our subjects’ face, and to deliver the best version of you. No overdone plastic fantastic Barbie doll skin.

“Steven’s photography appears touched up and professionally edited in their raw form. He does an amazing job capturing the best angles and works with his clients in a fun, and relaxing setting. Photos are delivered instantly, and look incredible!” – Lauren Whipp, Business Development Manager at Travelzoo

We could take away 30 years and 50 lbs, but do you really want your first impression to be one that is so far from your current reality?Headshot retouching before and after Tradeshow Convention Headshots On-Location High-Key of ACFE Nashville 2017 Conference Attendees at ACFE in Nashville, Tennessee by http://www.StevenJosephPhotography.com

We remove and soften dark circles and wisdom lines under eyes. We brighten eyes and teeth. We remove temporary blemishes. We remove obvious stains on your clothing, food in your teeth, that kind of thing.

If you really want to go deeper, further away, please ask and we will arrange for a second pass.

To see exactly what we do to all headshots we deliver to clients check out this post on the difference between deep editing (headshot retouching) and light editing.

IN THE COMMENTS BELOW let me know if you think we go too far, not far enough, or just right on these example photos in this post. Thank you!

I shot tethered to a laptop, which synced in near-real-time to the cloud and to the 2nd laptop and tablet I brought. I also pushed my point of contact a URL that anyone could bring up on their smartphone.

Commercial Portraits for Reality TV Show “The Big Gun II – Sin City” on the Sportsman Channel

February 22, 2017 | By | No Comments

Recently I was asked to make professional portraits for the world-class athletes and competitors of The Big Gun II – Sin City, a reality TV show on the Sportsman Channel.

Brian Speciale, Producer and Creator of the show, wanted some professional portraits of the 12 athletes competing in “Shooting’s Ultimate Competition – The Big Gun II – Sin City” that he could use within the show and to promote it on social media.

Shooters are very familiar with the names of these world-class athletes, including world famous “fastest shooter of all time” Jerry Miculek and his daughter Lina Miculek. JJ Racaza, Tim Yackley, Max Michel, Ryan Muller, Becky Yackley, Shane Coley, Jesse Tischauser, Hunter “Nubbs” Cayll, Wyatt Gibson, Michael Whitesides.

Brian had me come by the day before the actual contest started, and we spent the day dodging the rain making cool portraits and doing video interviews in anticipation of the contest. All of these folks were salt-of-the-earth great people, super safe and ridiculously aware of gun safety, and lots of fun to be around.

The shootout took place at the Pro Gun Club Las Vegas
