Fabulous fun Canadian couple elope to Las Vegas to get married on the Dry Lake Bed Playa then do a photo shoot at the Neon Museum DTLV and the Atomic Liquors

June 28, 2017 | By | No Comments

This fabulous fun Canadian couple eloped to Las Vegas to get married on the Dry Lake Bed Playa. We then did a GREAT photo shoot at the Neon Museum in DTLV and the Atomic Liquors.

These guys came into Vegas smiling and didn’t stop the whole time I was with them. There’s gotta be something in the water or something up there, but Canadians are just the coolest people. We had fun from the minute they pulled up to the dry lake bed in their limo, through the Neon Boneyard and on to DTLV and Atomic Liquors. These guys put in the time and we got great moment after moment. Thanks for letting me document your Vegas elopement guys! You’re gorgeous!

Las Vegas Playa Desert Dry Lake Bed Wedding – Juliet and Andrew

January 2, 2016 | By | No Comments

Yea, these guys Juliet and Andrew made the desert sizzle with their Las Vegas Playa Desert Dry Lake Bed Wedding, followed by their Las Vegas Neon shoot at the world famous Neon Museum. After talking over skype and some email back and forth between Australia and the US, these guys knew exactly what they wanted. We met them out at the desert playa dry lake bed on the way down to Nelson. They pulled up in their air conditioned limo – nice! We were already set up with our lights, ready to make beautiful studio-lit portraits. But before making gorgeous in the desert we went au natural during their wedding ceremony, officiated by the effervescent and highly recommended Angie Kelly of Peachy Keen Unions. And no, we did not shoot them naked, we just went simple natural light 🙂 during the ceremony.

Afterwards we spent just enough time to make some beautiful magazine-quality portraits of Juliet and Andrew in the stark and striking American desert.

We then made our way to the world famous Neon Museum, aka Neon Boneyard, where we walked the big lot amid some of the most famous neon signs from Las Vegas’ past. We pointed Juliet to the website where she could reserve the Neon Museum for either a 1/2 hour or one hour walking photo tour.

Did you know that you can also get married right in the Neon Museum among the towering classic neon signs? To arrange that, go right here.

We loved working with Juliet and Andrew, documenting their amazing Las Vegas Elopement. Once she saw her photos, Juliet emailed “we absolutely love them!! And please pass on our massive thank yous to Stephen for making us feel so comfortable and relaxed on the day!”

It’s what we do!

Downtown Las Vegas Wedding Photography – Elopement of Stacey and Greg

Historic Atomic Liquors (where folks watched atmospheric atom bomb test explosions from the roof of the bar back in the day), classic bright beautiful neon throughout the East Fremont Street area, public art graffiti all over the place that is updated throughout the year with each new music festival and cultural event, friendly welcoming people who LOVE a Vegas Bride, beautiful clients and best friends flying in from Canada and the Florida Panhandle, smiling, laughing, kissing, hugging, skipping. That’s what it’s like on a Las Vegas Wedding Photographers elopement tour of downtown Las Vegas with Steven Joseph Photography. We always have fun. You always look great. And everyone is blown away by your experience and the story we tell through the gorgeous magazine-quality photos documenting your incredibly special moment. I love everything about Las Vegas Elopement photography tours in DTLV downtown Las Vegas.

Neon Museum Elopement and DTLV Photo Session with Chant’e and Renard

September 2, 2015 | By | No Comments

Oh MAN these guys were a BLAST, and so in love, having so much fun! With clients this relaxed and happy and CAMERA-READY, it doesn’t get any easier to photograph nor more fun than this.

From the moment my two assistants and I met these guys at the Neon Boneyard they were all smiles, all hugs, all fun. And we had so much fun that the time just flew.

Like a lot of guys, Renard wasn’t crazy about spending an hour and a half with an unknown photographer, didn’t think it would be necessary, probably thought it would be boring. But his beautiful bride-to-be Chant’e saw something in my photography that made her have to have it. So Renard went along. But by the end (we went a little over, just ‘cuz we were making so much pretty and having so much fun) we all wondered where the time had gone. I coulda shot for a couple more hours.

Neon Boneyard Wedding Photography and DTLV Downtown Las Vegas Fremont Street Elopement of Ashley and Paul

Couples don’t get much cooler, better looking, and just downright nice than Ashley and Paul. They got married in the historic Neon Boneyard Museum among close family and friends. And then we bopped right over to DTLV downtown las vegas, the East Fremont area of Old Vegas that’s in the midst of a renaissance and flowering of street art, graffiti, music, great restaurants, and overall historic Vegas good stuff. The fact that this former military couple – both US Air Force Veterans – got married the day before Memorial Day is just a cherry on top of an outstanding, excellent, gorgeous day of beauty and memories.

Big ups to my assistants, the lovely Mrs Fogarty my wife Chris, and my young eager assistant Shabazz. Thank you guys!

Vegas Elopement LAUNCHED down in the East Fremont DTLV area

When Aimee and Ingo contacted us saying the LOVE our photography and really felt a connection by reading my bio, we were very flattered and happy. When they said “let’s do the ‘umbrella flying away’ shot” I’m all “OK! Let’s!” and so we did. These guys rented a beautiful red Jaguar, they brought all kinds of smoochin’ and hugging and WE JUST GOT MARRIED vibes to the shoot. And all of that combined with their awesome easy going very fun personalities makes my job all the more easy. After meeting them in the downtown Las Vegas area by one of the many street murals, we just zipped around fairly randomly making pretty. While DTLV can be a little raunchy for some, nothing beats the easy access, the photography-friendly attitude, and the endless textures and colors and background settings. Elopement shoots in the Downtown Las Vegas East Fremont area are truly one of my very favorite kinds of shoots. And with clients as animated and happy and easy going as Aimee and Ingo, I gotta pinch myself to see if this is really my job? Thank you Ingo and Aimee for a great shoot in downtown vegas!
