Las Vegas Wedding Photography

You realize that what is priceless tomorrow is expensive today. You’re doing it old skool – five hours or more. And you want full coverage from beginning to end. You want amazing family portraits, and breathtaking in-the-moment photojournalism that will make you laugh and cry every time you see them for the rest of your life. You want photography that becomes more valuable with every passing day.

Las Vegas Wedding at Mandalay Bay and Foundation Room

October 12, 2015 | By | No Comments

These guys remind me of James Bond and his hottest secret agent honey. They got ready at Mandalay Bay, got married at St Francis Assisi, and their reception was at The Foundation Room. Somehow, the groom Jarrod got full walking around access on the grounds of Mandalay Bay for family formal portraits. Anyone who is familiar with how seriously the big hotels guard their exclusive in-house photography contracts realize how significant and surprising it is that Jarrod got full access for an outside photographer. Did I say he reminds me of James Bond?

These guys are gorj. They were overflowing with emotion, creating once-in-a-lifetime-moments a mile a minute. And we were extremely honored to be invited to document their day.

Las Vegas Smith Center Wedding of Devin and Lee

September 26, 2015 | By | One Comment

This wedding had it all, and the photos below are an excellent example of how wedding photography is so many kinds of photography all rolled into one: photojournalism, bridal portraits, family portraits, product, food, architectural, event, in every kind of lighting situation. The bride is stunningly gorgeous and dynamic, her groom is so handsome and suave. Two strong, loving, emotional families filled with camera friendly family and friends. One of the most iconic and elegant venues in Las Vegas – The Smith Center in downtown Las Vegas (DTLV), right next to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health Las Vegas, also known as the Frank Gehry building. Details galore in dress and decor. Really a perfect storm of awesome. Please enjoy these highlights from one of my all time favorite weddings. Thank you and giant congratulations to Devin, Lee and Devin’s mom Nita. You guys are fantastic.

Neon Museum Elopement and DTLV Photo Session with Chant’e and Renard

September 2, 2015 | By | No Comments

Oh MAN these guys were a BLAST, and so in love, having so much fun! With clients this relaxed and happy and CAMERA-READY, it doesn’t get any easier to photograph nor more fun than this.

From the moment my two assistants and I met these guys at the Neon Boneyard they were all smiles, all hugs, all fun. And we had so much fun that the time just flew.

Like a lot of guys, Renard wasn’t crazy about spending an hour and a half with an unknown photographer, didn’t think it would be necessary, probably thought it would be boring. But his beautiful bride-to-be Chant’e saw something in my photography that made her have to have it. So Renard went along. But by the end (we went a little over, just ‘cuz we were making so much pretty and having so much fun) we all wondered where the time had gone. I coulda shot for a couple more hours.

Quality Las Vegas Party Bus Photos – Is It Possible?

August 14, 2015 | By | No Comments

Have you heard that you can’t get quality party bus photos because the bus is moving and the light is so low? I have – from other photographers. But as you can see in the photos below and in the words of my clients, that just ain’t so.

“Steven did an amazing job for our Las Vegas wedding reception!! All of the photos were taken in low lighting, many on a moving party bus, and they came out incredible!!! Not many photographers would be up to the challenge, but Steven Joseph photography delivered. I’m grateful he was able to capture the joy of our special occasion, would highly recommend!”

These guys had been deployed in Afghanistan as a nurse and an Apache helicopter pilot, respectively, and they and their friends had a lot of steam to blow off. They *earned* the right to get a little crazy and to go all out Vegas. And they did.

After getting married at their hotel chapel (into which outside photographers are not allowed) I met these guys at The Aria. We climbed aboard two party busses. I put up a couple of small speedlites, and away we rode.

We hit the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign, we went to DTLV downtown Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience and we ended up at the Bellagio. We just missed the fountain show, so I stayed around for an extra half hour to catch the fountain show and to wrap it up with a final group photo in front of the famous Bellagio fountain, in a crowd of hundreds. After the final shot these guys walked across the street to continue the party at one of the clubs on The Strip.

Looking for excellent photography to record your raucous Las Vegas Party Bus experience? Give us a call. We’ll take care of the photography so you can focus on cutting loose.

Dry Lake Bed and Lake Las Vegas – Ha and Louie Elope to Las Vegas

August 1, 2015 | By | No Comments

All the way from Vietnam, Ha and Louie eloped to Las Vegas to get married. Smartly, they chose two locations that are quintessentially Vegas and desert American West – the Dry Lake Bed, and Lake Las Vegas, home to The Westin, Ravella, The Lake Club and Reflection Bay at Lake Las Vegas.
We captured their sparkling new love for each other in the bright vast dry lake bed desert and among the green trees and elegance of Lake Las Vegas. It was truly a pleasure to meet and to work with these two beautiful folks. Congratulations Luong and Ha!
