Let’s Get Married in Las Vegas – Save a ton of money – Have a blast!

December 12, 2016 | By | No Comments

1Does it look like we had fun?! Hell Yeah! Check out this smokin’ hot and super fun couple who brought their crew from California, drove around Vegas in a party bus, had a BLAST, hired a great photographer to document it all, and probably saved a ton of money over hosting a full-blown wedding back home. I LOVE folks who do it this way, and I totally understand why someone might want to go this route. What a GREAT PLEASURE it was to spend time with and photograph this Vogue-Hot couple and their friends in and around downtown Las Vegas (DTLV), the Fabulous Welcome to Las Vegas Sign, on their Party Bus, and in and around East Fremont Street.

The Neon Boneyard at Sunset is The Best

October 31, 2015 | By | No Comments

I’ve photographed so many weddings and so many engagements at the world famous Las Vegas Neon Museum I can’t even count. And I’ve loved them all. It’s always beautiful and fun. But I must say that those lucky couples who schedule their sessions right around sunset – especially in the larger boneyard – get the sweetspot.

While everywhere outdoors looks better at the Blue Hour, the Neon Museum is just perfect. They light up the signs, the sky is just right, and matched to my studio off-camera lighting, everything comes together.

These guys looked so good and were having so much fun they’d have looked amazing anywhere. But I think we found the highnote and it all came together at sunset at the Las Vegas Neon Boneyard.

Afterwards we mozied on down to DTLV downtown Las Vegas, which is ridiculously close. Seems every time I’m down there the street art graffiti is updated and new, bars and restaurants I’ve never seen before have popped up, and always folks are so welcoming down there.

Congratulations to Celeste and Brandon on their Las Vegas engagement!

Downtown Las Vegas Wedding Photography – Elopement of Stacey and Greg

Historic Atomic Liquors (where folks watched atmospheric atom bomb test explosions from the roof of the bar back in the day), classic bright beautiful neon throughout the East Fremont Street area, public art graffiti all over the place that is updated throughout the year with each new music festival and cultural event, friendly welcoming people who LOVE a Vegas Bride, beautiful clients and best friends flying in from Canada and the Florida Panhandle, smiling, laughing, kissing, hugging, skipping. That’s what it’s like on a Las Vegas Wedding Photographers elopement tour of downtown Las Vegas with Steven Joseph Photography. We always have fun. You always look great. And everyone is blown away by your experience and the story we tell through the gorgeous magazine-quality photos documenting your incredibly special moment. I love everything about Las Vegas Elopement photography tours in DTLV downtown Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Smith Center Wedding of Devin and Lee

This wedding had it all, and the photos below are an excellent example of how wedding photography is so many kinds of photography all rolled into one: photojournalism, bridal portraits, family portraits, product, food, architectural, event, in every kind of lighting situation. The bride is stunningly gorgeous and dynamic, her groom is so handsome and suave. Two strong, loving, emotional families filled with camera friendly family and friends. One of the most iconic and elegant venues in Las Vegas – The Smith Center in downtown Las Vegas (DTLV), right next to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health Las Vegas, also known as the Frank Gehry building. Details galore in dress and decor. Really a perfect storm of awesome. Please enjoy these highlights from one of my all time favorite weddings. Thank you and giant congratulations to Devin, Lee and Devin’s mom Nita. You guys are fantastic.

Quality Las Vegas Party Bus Photos – Is It Possible?

August 14, 2015 | By | No Comments

Have you heard that you can’t get quality party bus photos because the bus is moving and the light is so low? I have – from other photographers. But as you can see in the photos below and in the words of my clients, that just ain’t so.

“Steven did an amazing job for our Las Vegas wedding reception!! All of the photos were taken in low lighting, many on a moving party bus, and they came out incredible!!! Not many photographers would be up to the challenge, but Steven Joseph photography delivered. I’m grateful he was able to capture the joy of our special occasion, would highly recommend!”

These guys had been deployed in Afghanistan as a nurse and an Apache helicopter pilot, respectively, and they and their friends had a lot of steam to blow off. They *earned* the right to get a little crazy and to go all out Vegas. And they did.

After getting married at their hotel chapel (into which outside photographers are not allowed) I met these guys at The Aria. We climbed aboard two party busses. I put up a couple of small speedlites, and away we rode.

We hit the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign, we went to DTLV downtown Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience and we ended up at the Bellagio. We just missed the fountain show, so I stayed around for an extra half hour to catch the fountain show and to wrap it up with a final group photo in front of the famous Bellagio fountain, in a crowd of hundreds. After the final shot these guys walked across the street to continue the party at one of the clubs on The Strip.

Looking for excellent photography to record your raucous Las Vegas Party Bus experience? Give us a call. We’ll take care of the photography so you can focus on cutting loose.

I’ve Seen Las Vegas Downtown Public Art DANCE

July 15, 2015 | By | No Comments

DTLV, Downtown Las Vegas, Wall Art, Public Art, Las Vegas Elopement Photography, Las Vegas Wedding PhotographyAshley and Paul got married at the awesome Neon Museum, AKA The Neon Boneyard in downtown Las Vegas. When they wanted some cool after-ceremony photos, naturally we had to scoot downtown to get some of the electric public Wall Art throughout DTLV.

These guys are so electric, they were so in love, that it’s as though walls just lit up and danced with color as they walked by. Did they? They did in my eyes.

To see if walls dance for you, all you gotta do is ask me to photograph your Las Vegas elopement or LV engagement or Las Vegas Wedding.

My reviews from past clients make me blush, they’re so good. Past clients talk about how much FUN we have, how great my lighting is, how much energy I have, how beautiful their photos are, and how well my wife Chris takes care of them from their first phone call until their gorgeous handcrafted album is delivered to their home.
